Statement of Faith

There is one God, eternally existing and expressed in three persons that are equal in power and glory: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This triune God is creator, redeemer and preserver of all creation.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world who lived on earth, died, was resurrected and returned to his Father in heaven. Salvation comes to humanity through faith and trust in the work of Christ. It is by the grace of God that people are saved, apart from any effort or achievement on their part.

The Holy Spirit works to convict, encourage, equip, create, empower, tutor, and seal the believer in a saving, eternal relationship with the Triune God.

The Bible is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. As the Bible is a diverse collection of narrative stories, poetry, law, and letters we look to the Holy Spirit, the early Christian Creeds (Nicene Creed and Apostles Creed), and Christian community for guidance in interpreting the Bible.

The local and global church exists for the glory of God and to fulfill His purpose on earth: that God’s followers, with the help of God, will worship, learn, serve, honor and love both fellow Christians and all humanity; sharing the good news of God’s love and salvation as we await the return of Christ.

James 1:27 “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”
